Yes, the T39 looks a little silly, kind of half blind or at least nearsighted.

But it isn't fair to compare them.

Of the five 9210s I follow closely, no problems, ranging
from 3 to 6 week old.

I also set up the WAP, WWW and email settings correctly,
expect for missing a repeated 5 in the telephone number.

Without any manual, but having a natural understanding
of needing to set up two things

- the telephone number to call, might change when travelling.
and the GSM functions, protocol to socket into that
number.

- the settings of the browser, to pick the correct
one of all those different accesses numbers.

Mechanical keyboards are always a mechanical problem, much
depends on what kind of glue or cookie crumble one spreads
on them. (I once gave up recommending trackballs to
secretaries using a lot of makeup and hand stuff)

In general I try to ask the actual service person what
he uses to clean keyboards, the same as for his carburator
or something with more alcohol content. If he should
stick to car connectors and black boxes or need a quick
lesson in low voltage connections, that creeping of fatty
residues and moist pocket lint around and under the keys.

Ilmarinen

Not to forget to ask how to handle that little rubbery thing
hooking up the LCD display and asking what he actually
thinks it is doing.

One intersting experience this summer has been handsets
held and sat upon with shorts, summer not the best
for dragging around a purse. Interesting that even
the practical, soft behind of the stronger sex can break
displays.

External antennas are obviously not an option in either case.
