Jane, aside from the obvious reasons, including the entire biotech sector being presently undervalued, I trade on a combination of individual issue fundamentals, but with special emphasis on technical analysis. See this link and you'll know what I mean:

I did buy 500 shares at Friday's close, expecting a nice post-Labor Day rally, but one rule that I do try to follow is to not have any open individual positions at the end of the day, as my LTBH positions are all in mutual funds. Simply too many unknown variables that can take a chunk out of an overnight holding. There are always exceptions such as IMNX, and it does offer the volatility to make profitable day trades.

In the final analysis, I think we will both prosper from IMNX. Curious about the special meeting called for later this month, though.
