I like Gold Breach also. I spent summers there as a child. Of course childhood alone makes it special for me. Oregon puts me in touch with those summers, and with the experience of being young. Isn't it funny how objects or places can bring back memories stored away in your brain? I always loved that from Proust. With the Madeline cookie- remembrance of things past. There was a wonderful movie of Proust's work recently, did you see it? The movie was Time Regained.
