Illmarinen, I'm looking at this complex issue from the perspective of the Holiday sales season. Do you not consider that any GPRS handsets sold by Nokia this year which do not contain the standards-mandated PBCCH/PCCCH features are likely to be recalled in order to somehow effectuate a fix when networks turn on GPRS as it is presently specified, i.e., with PBCCH/PCCCH functionality included?

Can you write, use "untested, unverified" in a sentence???

Oh yes, there are a lot of them in 3gpp aren't they? LOL

But the problem with Nokia GPRS problem is that Nokia
want it (what it??) to just camp on the tested, verified
CCCH/BCCH and not on the the future, untested, unverified
channels

Now I got it, and so will Eric<g> that Nok can chose to ignore the standard and do whatever it wants, even though the standard tells you to get your ass off the CCCH/BCCH when PBCCH/PCCCH is presented.

BTW, is that the excuse Nok's gprs project manager came up with when reporting to Mr. Jorma?

So any penalty? No more time in the hot Suna? LOL

P.S. It's Saturday my friend, whatever happened already happened, 50 some posts won't take it back<g> So why not take it easy? Enjoy the life:-)
