T-Bills are sold to deficit finance, which Forbes defends as a great thing. They can also take it out of Social Security, which both sides have vowed not to do. These debts have a tendency never to be paid off untill you have a fiscally responsible President in a healthy economy. You can point to congress but remember the buck stops at the president's desk. Clinton was the first in our lifetimes to pay down the deficit. To me that was one of his greatest accomplishments. Now that is being reversed.
