You seem to contradict yourself. The statement you made that I objected to was "There is no such thing as consensus building." Now you're implicitly conceding that there is such a thing as consensus building, but you doubt it would be successful in some particular case. No dispute resolution technique is perfect for all situations. But the statement that there is no such thing as consensus building is, IMO, flatly wrong and not even remotely close to your usual standard. I suggest you simply admit it was a mistake, and move on.
