Hi Bill,

I work from the opposite assumption, that I know nothing.
I like to synthesize ideas from people that have studied the market far longer than I have and learned much from hard won lessons.

P.S. Thanks for the free advice, I now know how to do a link.

Productivity 1.5% to 2.5%
At the moment economists are stressing productivity as the savior of the economy. With great emphasis on the late 1990s, some have proclaimed a return to that high growth period depends on productivity. If you examine the period from 1960 till now you will see a four decade trend toward lower levels of productivity. Not the trend talked about in the news. Using this trend the present estimate for productivity will be in the 1.5 to 2.5 percent range. It will be lower if we have a recession.

I dunno Bill ..

Every time I try to make a new red fork and go long the black one bites me again.

So this time I think that I'll go long and try to believe real hard that the black fork will rule forever.

Draw a new red one? Heck .. by the time I notice that there could be a new one it's almost dead again ..

Soooooo ,,, maybe if I don't draw a new red fork, believe the black fork is king and go long they'll put me away in a nice padded place and I'll get rich at the same time ..

That way I'm my own counter contarian indicator ..

BTW mid tine of the black fork is below the April lows .. (1063.65). I think that it's safe to say that we won't do that on Monday.
