Castro calls upon western nations to pay reparations for slavery. Which is very odd, because the last western nation to abolish slavery was Cuba.

Slavery is still legal in Mauritania, Sudan, etc. My understanding is that more people are enslaved now than were ever enslaved at any time in history - most of them black Africans enslaved by other Africans.
