Unfortunately the only way an American citizen can avoid having their personal data tracked would be to get paid in cash, pay in cash.

Don't establish an account with a power company, natural gas company, wire line phone service, cell phone service, pager service or ISP service.

Don't buy a house or rent an apartment. Don't buy a car with amortized payments.

Never file a 1040, 941, w-2 or 5500 and most importantly do not get a drivers license.

Don't get married and don't have children. :-)

Do live in some remote area of the world and live off the land with no outside help. Live far enough away from civilization that if an atomic bomb is dropped, you will survive and ask the question after hearing the noise..."what was that?"
