- So, is it correct to assume that a new proposal will be made Wednesday along the lines set forth above?

No, the list was expected to be possible to release,
maybe last wednesday, maybe this wednesday.
(this issue was supposed to be of highest, first
priority for the meeting, the DCCM proposal was
withdrawn in favor of the consensus recommendation,
should have been easy to decide on monday)

One can assume that the lists have existed for some time,
in different forms all over the globe.

Now the lists have to meet and merge, with operators having
crossed the boxes.

Maybe something like "truth and responsibility in advertisement"??

-What about Nokia's Fall deployment of GPRS handsets in the
millions? With all these issues outstanding, it seems unlikely that it will meet its schedule. Agree?

No, BCCH/CCCH is tested and verified.

Somebody mentioned the issue on "equally distributed"
GPRS handsets, I would add "camping on BCCH/CCCH".

Remebering that this is what even future GPRS handsets must
do in cells not supporting PBCCH/PCCCH and that
those future PBCCH/PCCCH cells will not exist in the near
future.

Another basic feel on the issue is to compare the more than
2 million GPRS handsets Nokia has defined, and the total
number of GSM handsets in those markets. (GPRS capable
networks)

In spite of many claims, operators are not stupid, although they and some vendors might sometimes seem so,
because of their particular competitive present situation.
