Kent --

Is the shift in AVNX's products moving smoothly? In other words, are PowerMux sales compensating for declines in PowerFilter? Also, does PowerMux obsolete PowerFilter?

As far as AVNX's cash flow, WSJ Briefing Books has a pretty good summary: [For those who don't subscribe, I highly recommend doing so as their resources are invaluable.]

For a more thorough look at the company's status, here's their 5/15 10-Q: [Q4 isn't posted yet]

The discussion of their relationship with CMI (contract manufacturer in China) is interesting.

In April Fujitsu was a 51% customer. What was the percentage in July?

WorldCom was a large end-customer. Did their considerable investment impact that relationship?

I note that JDSU (through the merger of ETEK and SDLI) is their biggest competitor. What pricing pressures can JDS put on the much smaller company?

I firmly believe the strong will survive and if AVNX stumbles to the point it needs to merge, it will lose the licenses now controlled by Fujitsu. This is a point I brought out in a long-ago discussion with George Gilder, after which he poked fun of those whose attention to detail included reading Edgar's fine print. [I suggest he put away his Ouiji board and take out his magnifying glass.]

At any rate, let's work together and find the best and strongest companies for the next wave of technology investing.
