They went after military ballots for one day. I don't count that because nothing physically was ever done. They should have gone after them though. There was definite corruption there. But for reasons of longterm PR image I guess they backed off. A little funny all those new ballots came in from overseas AFTER the election, huh? Someone in the GOP sure had that organized, with the Phillip Morris money to spend offshore outside US election laws. A Haley Barbour operation along with his fundraisings in Asia. At the time Barbour was not "officially" connected with the GOP so he skirted election finance laws while Gore and Clinton were criticized and charged by GOP attack dogs for far less.
Barbour was all over Asia in 94-95 raising GOP funds through his labyrinthine network of PACS. This is why we need campaign finance reform, though a sneak like Barbour will always find a way to raise funds, legal or otherwise.
