Well, I just tried visiting the bitband.com website, and can't believe how slow it is, or how rustic the little bit of the welcome page I saw was (I gave up waiting for it to load...)

But on this VoD stuff, how do you suppose something like this will work (from a concrete engineering/network perspective)?

This isn't the sort of thing that will ever lead to general purpose bandwidth is it? Because if it's one thing the "content is king" people will do everything in their power to prevent the deployment of, it's general purpose bandwidth...

Couldn't a lot of this VoD stuff be handled with content stored at catv headends?
