The theory as applied in this story would also have to explain why God did not help the younger brother? Too busy?, the youth didn't believe hard enough, drawing pictures on the hymnal during service? Enquiring minds want to know. TP

Frederick Smart.... I started dissecting your posts to me and in the midst of trying to understand your position I reconciled myself to the fact that I hate numerology...just detest people manipulating and interpreting numbers to their own satisfaction. I will never understand anyone attempting to explain their concept of God using such a method. Actually I have never understood anyone even attempting to explain God's actions, reactions or plans for anything. For one thing I would never take it upon myself to explain any other person's thoughts, much less a Supreme Being's plans for us. Now that is not to say that I do not find humor in many religious leader's attempts to explain God's reasoning to me. Particularly when they are the beneficiaries when they tell me to give them my money so they can continue to tell other people what God has planned for them. I always feel that such posturing is useless as you will never be able to prove or disprove any of this. All your conjecture is interesting but in the end is meaningless as it all boils down to what you as an individual believe. You either believe or you don't...and I am including every religion whether Christian or non-Christian. And Frederick Smart, I just do not believe that your numerological theories are in any way indicative of any proof and are in fact insulting to even the idea or concept of God. If I have insulted you please accept my heartfelt apology but since you have felt encouraged to express your opinion I felt I would like to take advantage of that same forum to respond to you. antiquites
