My motivation for seeking this term as a SNIA Board Member is to continue working as the Chairperson of the Technology Center and to provide the start up work necessary to organize the Consumer Council. Much work as been done during this last year and much remains. I would like to use my expertise to continue to develop these programs in order to maximize the role SNIA can play in the advancement of Storage Networks. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What other Associations you are currently active with and in what capacity? Because of my work the the Storage Media Library Work Group, I have worked with the DMTF, the IEEE and the IETF. I have also been involved with the IBTA and the FCIA -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Potential Areas of Interest (Marketing, Work Groups, Technical Standards, Interoperability, Consumer Council, other.) I would like to continue my work with the Technology Center -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anything else the committee should be aware of? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brief Bio Statement Dona has served as an active member of the SNIA Board of Directors for the last two years and as Chair of the SNIA Technology Center committee. The SNIA Technology Center opened in January of this year and features a state of the art interoperability lab, classrooms and a staging area for SNIA interoperability demonstrations. In addition, Dona has served as chair (now co-chair) of the Storage Media Library Management technical work group. This spring, Dona became a member of the Shared Solutions Forum within SNIA. Dona has over 15 years in the computer industry, with seven years in the Storage Management industry. She went to Sun Microsystems Network Storage Group in April of this year as Manager of Business Development through the acquisition of HighGround Systems. This new position will allow both Dona and Sun to focus renewed resources on SNIA initiatives.
