Get an old tape drive off ebay if you don't want to spend too much.

Tape is a much better way to do large backups. No need to fiddle with multiple media volumes, incremental backups etc. They are faster, and easy to take with you on the road etc as an off site backup.

It also allows a complete restore capability.

If money is no object, an SDLT drive would be best, otherwise an older DLT (7000 or 8000), or an 8mm exabyte drive would serve you well.

Having multiple drives on a single system does not take care of the problem of theft, fire etc
