Ya know, I have no idea if or when a bottom will be set...and who knows, it could be lots of years before a true and serious recovery occurs, but I do believe that you cannot time a bottom perfectly and certain stocks should be bought when they hit a certain level, with the strategy to take partial positions and add on dips. If you believe recovery will eventually happen, then certain stocks at certain prices should be bought. My last buy of JDSU was at $6.85....next one is set at $5....who knows...I may even be buying at $2......I have no idea.......but I do believe in 10 years JDSU will be alot higher then $10, so I dont mind buying at $10, $8, $6, $4 and etc......I can't see into the future. i dont know if $2 will be a bottom on it or $6, so I wont try and nail the bottom. I will start buying when a stock hits a certain level and keep buying on the way down if she drops....as long as long term, I think she is higher. I have no problem buying JDSU now for $5 a share or $2 a share, andb being patient....if sunw breaks much below $10, I will be adding to her as well...same with orcl, emc, ntap, fdry, extr and several others. I am not talking about stocks thatstill can drop from $100 to $5....they have already fallen. I know % wise, you can lose just as much, regardless of share price, but I do believe that you must factor in a $100 stock has more potential for a fall then a stock that has already fallen from $100 to $10. Once it has fallen to $10 or less, I think it's a little safer to assume that alot of the downside has already hit....thats not to say your notgoing to buy at $10 and watch it go to $2, cause it sure can happen, but at least at under $10, we can see only $10 more downside, with easier targets to buy if she drops more..........so, I am buying beaten down quality that i think will survive.....and hopefully, many years from now, when we look back at this time period...whether you bought sunw at $5 or $15,or jdsu at $10 or $5..... hopefully, it wont matter and ROI's will be nice and PHAT.....I am putting an emphasis on hopefully, as the last two years has taught me alot....good luck to all....

keith....buying beaten down quality when nobody else wants it.......isn't that what "the book" says to do.......
