fsesx is one of the most volatile, if not the most volatile sector...kinda goes with the business: thinking wildcatting from the old days. the osx.x is definitely going lower but when it moves, it moves fast. It has been hanging around the bottom of the sectors all summer. It can make several 10% moves in a few days though. It pays to watch it.b

I think our economy is in serious trouble. The growth of the money supply shows that the fed still pumping. 15% growth in the money supply and still little growth in capital investment. I think Angler is right about the just dumping the capital gains tax and now would be a good time as it might not precipitate so great a sell off.

Biotech seems one of the brighter spots but they need huge piles of money. For many of them, buying a lottery ticket seems about the same risk. I like Millenium.

It is not in my nature to be bearish but I see little to persuade me otherwise. I am an interior designer and work with very wealthy people from all over the world (they all like to have real estate in Florida). The Europeans are very uncertain, the South Americans are scared, my Canadian clients are looking forward to their dollar perhaps being worth a little more. Naples is winter home to more CEO than anywhere else in the country and many are seeing a serious recession at this point.
