Here's a review of Envision's 15" flat panel from CNET:

computers.cnet.com

"The bottom line: The EN-5100's better-than-average performance and extremely low price make it a compelling value.

The Envision EN-5100's rock-bottom price comes with a few trade-offs in display capability and construction. Still, it delivers surprisingly good performance and some midrange features to boot, meaning that even price-conscious consumers have another good choice for an LCD monitor. "

Note this is not the 17" model you asked about, but maybe a starting point for you.

checking the Envision site epius.com

the only TFT monitor I see is the EN5100, a 15" model. They do show a 17" flat panel but this is a CRT, not a TFT. Might want to verify with Fry's what the model # is and whether it is really a TFT.
