On the other hand, all the people I know who weren't burnt by the dot-bomb collapse have been able to find new jobs and are doing pretty well. People and corporations have been forced to cut out the fat. Natural evolutionary forces are at work weeding out the weak. But there is a lot of strength to support this economy. Still I half agree with you that things are going to be tough for awhile. Will be real interesting to see what Bush proposes for the economy now that he is trumpeting that it's his #1 priority. Tax cuts certainly haven't helped mainly because most of it went to the rich. So what else can he do? I am definitely bearish about this Administration though I did buy HAL as a hedge. gg
