All W-CDMA -anything ... pays money to Qualcomm.

Half-assed adoption will slow rollout of all CDMA.

Consumers are just tired of crap like WAP. They have what they need now, and, in many respects, it is good enough. Unless a technology shows are quantum leap in a value proposition, I think you may be underestimating how brittle the public is with some new proposed piece of junk/headache technology.

NTT could well slow the adoption rate of WCDMA.
