Amy, Tushar, Another reason the housing market appears so out of sync is that the housing statistics are always looking backward a few months and the stockmarket is looking forward about 6 months... Jim

Hi Tushar, thank you for the link to the good article. It said a home sold for $360k less than list, which is a 26% decrease. That's a pretty huge drop from list, isn't it? Is 25% less than list the norm these days in Silicon Valley? Anyone know? In the example the article provided, the ROI was 21% in 3 years, which is certainly no longer a 100% ROI any more.
