Another reason the housing market appears so out of sync is that the housing statistics are always looking backward a few months and the stockmarket is looking forward about 6 months...

Hi Tushar, thank you for the link to the good article.

It said a home sold for $360k less than list, which is a 26% decrease. That's a pretty huge drop from list, isn't it?

Is 25% less than list the norm these days in Silicon Valley? Anyone know?

In the example the article provided, the ROI was 21% in 3 years, which is certainly no longer a 100% ROI any more. Prices are indeed coming down. Thanks for the article.

This is unreal.
If it is true, then we are in deeper trouble than I previously thought.

During the early 90s when we had foreclosures coming out of our ears, the delinquency rate never reached much more than 5%. At 4.6%, we are almost there? That means within 6 months, we are going to have foreclosures coming out of our ears again!!!!
