The story's mention of foreclosures in mobile home sector leads me to believe that this is where the institutions are already seeing the increased default rate. No surprise there--plenty of credit risk, bad credit, subprime lending and predatory lending. Low-income buyers who lack the education or knowledge to protect themselves need better protections from loan sharks.

Also re: layoffs at Fidelity. Fidelity owns real estate title insurance businesses and is bracing for a decline in sales, perhaps.
