There is no mention of the black slave traders who sold to the
white buyers.

Not to mention that many (most?) of the slave buyers were Arabs, who transported the captives to the coast for sale to mostly white ship captains.

There is plenty of blame to go around. The reality is that most slavery is not rooted in racism, but in economics.

Let's not forget that whites were slaves in Rome and Greece. How far back can reparations go?

I wonder if I could sue both the French and Irish government for Catholicism and the potato famine.
And we Irish are going to sue the Brits for their atrocities during the Potato Famine. And the Brits are going to sue the Germans for WWI and WWII, the frogs for the Norman Invasion, and the Italians for Caesar's conquest. The frogs are going to sue the Germans for WWI and WWII and the Italians for Caesar's conquest of Gaul. The Germans are going to sue the Brits and Americans for the thousand-bomber raids of WWII. The Italians are going to sue ......

Everybody has a historical grievance. Everybody. At some point the books have to be closed on them. The lifetime of the victims seems a reasonable limit.
