Nice ( over the top ) comparison. Assaulting another person is 10,000X worse than taking a questionable deduction.

If there was no threat of penalty there is no way I would pay a tax. Seeing how the government has used the money for insane purposes (not authorized by the constitution) very few people would send in their money. When they return to the basics (as I see it) then I would be more inclined to contribute my share.
