re: I can see the benefit for HWP, but I thought CPQ was in a stronger position (that is not indicated by the premium offered).

Someone on one of the threads mentioned that it was interesting that the premium HWP offered for CPQ was 19%, and HWP declined 19% today.

I didn't check the math, but it sounds pretty close.

Digi-Key has started to distribute Intel Embedded CPU products and flash.

This, coupled with AMD's recent pull-out of some x86 embedded markets, should help Intel capture some extra x86 embedded design wins.

They are also reselling 8 and 16 bit CPUs and StrongARM (although the StrongARM stock items are incomplete).
