he wasn't wrong about the euro... he was observing a technical fact.. and wondering out loud how it plays from there... he's dead on to observe it and strategically it is well worth considering given its potential to upset several apple carts in the bear logic re: market approach... right here and now, the ecb could do one last grand thing and up their gold backing by a notable number...or hell use diamonds or anything else they want. one fell swoop, they'd solve some heady issues.. the remaining being more bureaucratic than real IMO. but they aren't known for being bold... just assinine.
