I have learned something extremely valuable from John Shannon, which is to focus on the cash flow from operations and not mix it with cash from options or otherwise raised. I figure the occasional, impolite slip up of JS is worth enduring to get the additional perspective and discussion on valuation John brings to the table when he joins the discussion, but then again, no one ever gave me an award for ably managing a thread.
