G*d D*mn It! I am having a great time ignoring the market and then you start wigging out and the Huns are sacking my portfolio!

Lim, if it matters I just got nervous myself after last Thursday and decided that having fun was more important so I cut some losses so I could sleep at night. Even cut loose my QCOM Leaps. You should do the same. Make up a list and decide what your weakest positions are (and those that appear vulnerable) and dump them tomorrow. I'm serious. Life is too damn short to let this bullshit hammer you. It was starting to hammer me last week so I hit back.

Screw you NTAP. To hell with GLW. Bye bye 2004 QCOM options. Hello comfy sleep! Really.

Still about 60% invested so I can enjoy (or suffer) any future moves. Can't beat that cuz I don't give a damn how good some of these predicting types have been, all take their turns in the dog house...and often never come out again...bulls and bears.

BTW who is that new long winded John guy around these parts lately?

<H>

>> UF - Is it possible to look out into next year and say whether one believes that the economy will have recovered to growth?

Certainly, but that doesn't mean you'll be right.

Actually, the latest numbers indicate the economy has never stopped growing, though the growth rate is verrry low.

>> Anyway have a read and let me know.

OK, but only if you give me the link.

>> And what about Abby J Coehn and her end of year prediction. OK she has been proven wrong but by that much??? She is talking 1,300 S&P or a bit higher. She can't e that wrong surely?

Yes she can. The only way can know what the s&p500 will be on December 31 is to wait until January 1. And even then we might be wrong.
