Why is it lame?

As a potter, what if your clay kept wanting to be a cube again? Imagine a block of foam rubber coated and impregnated with kaolinite. You cut off a piece and you could turn your wheel all day. If that clay won't take the shape you want, who has responsibility for that form in the first place? Isn't it the maker of the clay? Or is it the clay?

I leave poison out on the counter in a can of Coca Cola. Can I claim it isn't my fault if someone drinks it and dies? It's negligent. It's bad philosophy because it causes one to draw the wrong conclusions about the relationship between choice, cause, effect and randomness. Worse it causes one to draw conclusions that aren't backed up by ANY objective evidence.
