I admire your optimism, but I don't share it. As Nadine correctly points out, Arafat is no Nelson Mandela or Mahatma Ghandi. He will not galvanize the masses in the U.S. It would take a powerful figure to wake the average American from his trance. Remember, Americans generally don't care about the rest of the world, especially Arabs who have been artfully crafted by Hollywood as rabid terrorists.

Mani, some Israeli law is unjustly discriminatory but it is probably less so then the laws of the countries surrounding it. The fact that others are worse should not lead us to ignore the bad in Israel but comparing the Israeli government to Hitler is inaccurate and inflammatory and will cause many people to ignore anything you have to say on the issue.
