KWK 2Q results are out. Earnings up 32%, stock price is going down. Tic tock, tic tock.

Main reason for increase is higher gas prices than last year when they must have had some bad hedges. Production up only a little bit.

E*Trade found some more KWK to loan me this morning.

Best to all,

JRH

I'm long NE and SOSA, as well as NG. Remain short PENG, covered KWK and went long for the bounce yest - now out completely. I'm getting itchy to unload the ng. I'm visiting my folks in Austin and I can't remember it ever being this mild in late summer.

I think OPEC looses control this fall, but the patch has suddenly become difficult to trade. I'm cautious shorting because of the possibility of spr return. On the otherhand, the coming ng glut will be difficult to trade against.
