SEctor negatives probably impacted by ML downgrading 2001 handset sales projections by 10 % and calling for negative growth in wireless infrastructure. Q getting hit with the rest. Believe this is contributing to major volume. Market doesn't differentiate within the sector.

Most of weakness is likely in Europe, but this market doesn't care where, just sell, sell ,sell.

In actuality its times like today when there is no RATIONAL reason to buy in which everyone(like me) who know better should be buying yet we dont that are usially good tradding opps. The Vix is at 30(apx) the Rydex is super bearish(bullish) the arms index has hit 1.50 3 x(I dont thgink that m,eans anything but I respect Don Hays). I still think we need to marginally break the old lows marginally to scare the $hit out of everyone and that will mark the real capitulation type bottom, so I am staying on the sidelines. Ive made a killing the last 3 months on the short side and dont want to return the profits, and try to play in a market that is eating the best traders arround. Iam just not that good, por smart. When in doubt stay OUT

I agree with waiting, a DCB often accompanies today's type scenario, but my experience is the risk/reward ratio playing those is not good enough to bother. My opinion is also colored by the fact that I am almost never online all day to watch things like a hawk, and you really have to be for that.
