Sun Tzu, Re: Gary, are you more in tuned with the news from China than I am? I've lost touch over the past few months, but my recollection was that things were far from stable in China. There are heavy undercurrents there that are scaring the hell out of the government. The government has been using a chip-on-the-shoulder-nationalism as way to mute discontent. And aside from news of unrest in rural areas, the popularity of Falun Gong and the party's reaction to it does not instill confidence in me

I have been reading reports like this for the past twenty years or so.

While this discussion of China stability is off-topic it is a vital one for the industry we follow here. So I encourage you to continue the discussion if others do not object.
