remember HDR/1xrt evo are bandwith products to add to the overcapacity. In my opinion they will make situation for Fixed and network systems glut more prounonced in the last mile market

The glut isnt in the last mile it is in the core of the network. The problem is that the last mile solutions (DSL/Cable) havent been seen enough penetration to use the capacity that was built out in the core. HDR/1xrtt can only help the situation....

If I had a laptop with 1xrt I wouldnt bother with a DSL or cable modem, why would I?

DSL/Cable Modem are still considerably faster than HDR/1xrtt. There arent many applications that this would make much of a difference...but if you were downloading MP3's or video it would.
