Dell paid from $1.45 to $4.63 for them via options exercise. I'd be a lot more impressed if he had bought on the open market.

That has been one of the things that has bothered me a lot this year, the level of insider selling (and near-total absence of buying), even as the stocks go down, down, down. If this is the start of a pattern (big, huge IF) then I will be a lot more willing to start taking LT positions. So far in this bear market, the SOX has done 3 50% rallies off intermediate bottoms, and insiders have sold those rallies....... and the rallies have failed. Maybe the next impressive rally will be the one that doesn't fail, and it will be time to stop selling the rallies. Maybe.

Anyway, I have limit orders in, to buy QCOM at 50, 45, and 40; 10% of my portfolio each purchase. If we get to 35, I'll start buying 2004 LEAPs (calls, that is, not puts any more!).

Also have limit orders to buy stock and LEAPs in:
JDSU (in increments from 5 to 1)
EMC (in increments from 16 to 10)
CSCO (in increments from 16 to 8)

I wonder if JDSU is going to have to do a reverse stock split at some point, to keep their stock marginable, and then to keep from being delisted.

mm- Well feeble cl,ose but well off the lows. Better than yesterday.

Clear that we had hedge action or as reported on the thread a large fund gettting out. All the good news is going to have a beneficial effect sooner or later.
