It's 10:42 on the West Coast, and I was just fooling with my VIX chart:

stockcharts.com[m,a]waclyymy[pb50!b200][vc60][iUb14!La12,26,9]

when I got an email from my pal Bull Derrick telling me the Vix went over 30, and someone posts JimP that the Vix is over 30.

I don't even have my finger on the trigger yet. In fact, I haven't even loaded the bullets into the revolver yet. I haven't even unlocked my gun case. In fact I haven't even gone down to the gun shop to make my purchases. In fact . . . well, you get the idea.

You wanna know when to buy Naz stocks? Well, I think we're going to see a very high VIX, so high that people will be saying, "VIX 38, I'm in," only to see it go higher, much higher. The talking heads on CNBC will be talking about only one thing, at least in private: what other positions will be open to them in broadcasting.

I think we see a VIX of 44 (Hey, VIX Formula 44) in the first two weeks of October and it will be an okay time to buy within 4-5 trading days of that point. People will be shocked, shocked at the level Nazzie will fall to and the most commonly used verb will be "plunge," followed closely by "puke."

We need more pain, as much as I hate to say this. I expected a sharp drop at the open and then a short cover rally. Maybe later today but it just doesn't look like there's enough selling pressure.
