Well i don't see where the mounties come into it, this is not a police state, we are not a nation of guns and blood, such traits would conflict with the core cuddliness of national psyche, with the rule of civilised law ... barring foto radar which we just voted out, we have no problem with our cops, in fact in my case my last interaction with one was at his wife's birthday party, and reasonably amicable considering what his tree had just done to my fence by falling on it But you do inspire - picture a photo op with a mountie in full dress uniform, his hands on the valve of a natgas pipeline, waiting for the optimum moment for full effect of its closing
