That move into the low and back up has PPT written all over it. A sudden acceleratiion right into a century-mark, turn on a dime, 1:30 PM timeframe, steady march up without a break for nearly an hour, that's the PPT giving orders directly to Merrill et al.

Screw 'em. XAU started a magic move of its own out of nowhere at 2 PM, so let them play their games.
