The computers trade the channels. They try to work out where the top and bottom of the channels are, how far the current price is from a channel top or bottom, and which way the stock is trending. By producing a fake low or high for the day, the apparent channel can be extended, the apparent trend reversed, and the current price look like it is at the opposite end of the channel to what it actually is (not to mention going in the wrong direction).

Interesting stuff. I would love to write a trading program. But I am not much of a programmer.

$10 low trade eh? Must have been twister trying to get the stock down into single digits. Are the Market Manipulators busy or what.
