This is a classic anti-semitic mentality. One Jew does something, all Jews must explain it. Tell me, Tim McVeigh was a Catholic-- should I ask my Catholic friends to justify his actions? Should we ask each and every arab to respond verbally to the abominable act of tossing a man in a wheelchair off the side of a ship (remember Leon Klinghoffer?). Classic anti-semitic formulation: I heard that a Jew did soemthing..that's how Jews are.
