Buddy, There is no doubt that there is truth in social darwinism. People learn how to deal with the environment and pass it on by word of mouth and records on one kind or another. There is little genetic play involved in the short term. In the longer term selection can operate and people will become better at assorted tasks(warrior, co-operation, etc), but this takes many man years, but a rule(law) can be learned in one week. As for racism, there is no doubt all the races are very similar in their genetic content and thus have more or less the same intellectual potential...if they use it. Most races are optimised for the climate they lived in when they were hunter gatherers as they stayed at that static level for thousand of years...enough time for selection to operate. Black men had the first skins on Homo sapiens and thus the first men were black men. As they expanded north the sun got less and since men die without vitamin D that is made in the skin by the sun then those black men had to change their skins to let in more sun. Thus came the white races. White men lived in the northern climes, less food, less forage for herbivores as well as for meat eaters, so the popultions were less dense. Less dense meant less inter-tribal warfare since the forage areas were karger and you encountered them less often...thus more co-operation evolved into the gene pool. This peaked in the eskimos who co-operate even to sharing of wives for the benefit of the gene pool. Try to get Africans to share wives....war starts then. Eurropeans then moved over to India and moved down, hot suns and black men were born again as black skinned men who looked just like whites, except for skin color. In all this the basic men is the same, blood types, histocompatibility complexes etc were all repeated in a similaar way in all these populations, woth some variations. Black men and white men both make good scholars as their mids are the same. thsie societies differ and that interferes with blacks running their lives like whites. they were brought up differently, with different social rules, and thus they can do better at some tasks that whites and not as good in others. It is qquite apparent that the kinetic or warrior skills of blacks, as shown in sports....which are war equivalents...are a little better than whites. In a similar way the pensive, plotting skills of whites are a little better than blacks, also as shown in sports that need those skills(quarterbacks, etc). It is a close thing and there are lots of good black quarterbacks and man good white warriors. These are observations. Bill
