I think I read somewhere that Jimmy Carters group [speaking of a man who's stock has soared in my mind] is quite down on the Canadians [ or at least BC] logging practice.

Of course we will hurt, we're hurting now, whole communities are being devastated at this moment, and it won't be long before the multiplier effect damages the general provincial economy ...... yes there are casualties in war, duh, this is why as a civilised people we would really rather avoid them, however we could not in this circumstance, the 'Commerce' department of the US imposed an immediate bond requirement for 19.3 per cent and this is unpayable by many mills, there is nowhere near that sort of profit margin in the business, if there was we would all be rich by now, and we are not, duh.

'laws in Canada that impede imports of the few products where the US enjoys a surplus: movies, music, etc.'

Huh? ... perhaps you'd like to come over to FOs vs Cuddlies and cite some by statute and article? ... fear not, we see your schlocky Hollywood garbage here, it flows freely over the border as it does over so many ... a 'surplus' you 'enjoy', lol ... yes describe it in those terms if you wish, but do be aware that while in this house we employ normally a septic tank to deal with excrement, your request for us to fill a self-addressed stamped envelope will be considered as rightful reciprocation for your exported Kultur

Depends on your perspective that one. From the Canadian side it's a cultural issue, not the same as rocks and trees.

Oh GAWD!!!! what a can of worms ready to spill out..... We can't even agree amongst ourselves on that one sacrebleu EH!.

a cute and cuddly Canadian
