I know for sure. The message is clear. YOU have a Savior. YOU can choose to walk away if you desire, but that does not change the message. Why do you try to drag people with you?

Jehovah Jireh is Good.

With all respect Bill, you are incorrect. From about 600AD, the manuscripts are very numerous. The manuscripts that are older than than are incomplete, but enough is available to check the accuracy of the newer ones. For instance, the 150BC book of Isaiah found with the Dead Sea Scrolls is remarkably consistent with the 600AD manuscripts. Since the 600AD manuscripts are complete, and have been proven to be consistent with the early fragments, they are used as the basis for all modern Bible translations. Thus, the Bible can be proven to have maintained consistency for in excess of 2500 years for the old testament, and 2000 years for the new. There are some translation issues that affect modern versions of the Bible, but these can be overcome by referencing the original texts.

In addition to reliable manuscripts, there is strong archeological support for the authenticity of the scriptures. Archeological digs of the last 200 years have proven out even the oldest books of the Bible with respect to historical accuracy. No writer in the first millennium AD could have known so much about ancient history. This lends credence to the antiquity of the books of the old testament for which no original or near original manuscripts exist.

We can then, have confidence in the reliability and accuracy of the modern Bible with reference to the original texts. And we can validate the historical accounts given within. This alone should give any reasonable person pause.
