Mike, I was just listening to CNBC (yeah, I admit I watch it constantly), and they're reporting that SSB is saying that Microsoft did not reaffirm guidance yesterday, but instead said they had not changed their guidance from July. Interesting. AdvocateDevil

Another tech tidbit: 08:42 ET Bernstein on Telecom Equip. : Hearing from sources at Bernstein that analyst Paul Sagawa believes that deteriorating conditions point to many earnings misses in Q3; says that in order of severity, ERICY, NT, MOT, LU, and NOK are all risks to preannounce disappointing Q3 earnings and/or revenues; Sagawa cuts 2001 EPS estimates on all five; says that meaningful inflection point is 6 months away and industry growth is 18 months away.
