In real world applications, the Athlon has a "per clock" advantage, but the Pentium 4 more then makes up for that with higher frequencies. Check out one of the many Pentium 4 2.0GHz reviews, and you'll find that it is faster than the fastest Athlon in nearly every test.

And not every test is being faked, Dan. <g>
