LemonHead,

One more question. What is the CD for that VL sends out? Don't I have access to the same info when on line?

Actually, that's two questions. <g>

The CD is the way you initially load the VL software and data onto your disk. The CD also serves as a convenient backup for those times when your Internet access is impaired. (Otherwise you couldn't see any individual company reports.) Besides that, not everyone with a computer has an available Internet connection (for example, laptops in an airplane). And some of those people with Internet connections may have too low a baud rate on their modem, or perhaps they're not computer savvy enough to understand how to download the updates directly from the VL web site. So VL, with astute insight and understanding, provided alternatives for all their users.

Yes, for all intents and purposes you have access to the identical information online that's also included in the monthly update CD. However, since the online data is refreshed daily (or near daily), the online information is usually more current than the CD data, especially if the data stored on your disk (from the CD) is not being refreshed every time VL puts out a daily/weekly update on the Internet for downloading. In other words, your system (stored on your C-drive) becomes obsolete each month if you fail to download and install the daily/weekly updates. If that's the case, then the monthly CD (when installed) serves as a way to bring your data back into a more current status.
