Recently read from a seemingly reliable source (sorry, can't remember where) that money market funds (and bank deposits?--I can't recall) amount to some 19+% of the broadest market index--I seem to recall Wilshire 5000. I think investors realize stock fund managers feel compelled to buy with what is entrusted to them, and thus put in money market funds or banks the large amounts of money they want in cash.

So while I agree with most of your points I think there's plenty of cash for a nice bear market rally starting who knows when, but I'm guessing by November at the latest. I'm just sitting on low ball GTC buy orders for tech stocks that I believe have the leading technology or market position. If they don't fill now I believe I'll get them next year or '03.
