He could. However, keep in mind its Owens and Stokes this year. No Rice and no Garner means a less diversified attack. The defense won't have to play as honest. Stokes is worthless and Hearst is questionable. I'd have my defense doing a lot of ankle tackling with Hearst. A few good bangs at or below the knee and SF has no running game. I think Barlow still has a hammy problem.

The Niners could win this game 44-0, but it won't be because of the secondary. Buchanan and Ambrose is the best CB tandem in the NFL.
