Guree, I read that but I must say Anglogold has always strenuously denied the allegation pointing out that only half of production has been sold forward. They also maintain that they sell forward only to provide sufficient cash flow to develop new operations. In this way they do not have to resort to loan or internal finance which they otherwise would do. It also enables AU to pay good dividends to stockholders.

Barrick, I do know, is big in the "trading" market and is frequently criticised because of it. Placer, I don't know about.
